Spirited bidding at John Goodwins latest property auction ensured the successful sale of Hillcrest at Sollers Hope at the top end of its price guide.
The property, a detached three bedroomed bungalow, was in very poor condition however its wonderful rural location and half acre plot size appeared to offer tremendous redevelopment potential which resulted in at least four bidders in the sale room.
Bidding opened at a modest £170,000 but very quickly rose to the £250,000 stamp duty threshold, the price at which the hammer fell.
Chris Maulkin the auctioneer commented following the sale that both he and his clients were delighted with the price achieved which was at the very top end of the guide price range.
John Goodwin are currently planning a collective spring property auction and already a number of parcels of land and rural properties have been earmarked for inclusion within the sale. Further entries are invited with marketing due to begin early in the New Year.
